A Mission Born From Personal Experience.
As a German-Filipino founder, I understand both sides: the urgent staffing needs of German healthcare institutions and the bureaucratic hurdles faced by Filipino professionals.
The name ILAVELA symbolizes this journey. Ilaw is the Tagalog word for ‘light,’ representing the clarity we bring to complex processes. Vela is the Latin and Spanish word for ‘sail,’ standing for the momentum we use to reach our goals.
We don’t just show the way; we pave it.
My mother, a Registered Midwife, faced these exact hurdles after migrating to Germany: lengthy credentialing processes, opaque requirements, and the profound experience of professional devaluation. A situation that threatened not only her career, but her entire professional identity. Watching essential expertise become invisible through bureaucracy is the foundation of my personal mission.
We founded ILAVELA to break this cycle. We support both sides professionally from the initial contact, through the professional recognition process, and into workplace integration.
Ethical. Efficient. As Equals.

Founder & Managing Director
01 - MATCHING
Targeted pre-selection
Recruitment in the Philippines is done by our DMW-licensed partner agency.
Together we pre-select who fits your team, professionally and personally. You
get the profiles and decide.
02 - PREPARATION
Targeted preparation
Language training and intercultural preparation, tailored to nursing practice in Germany. Depending on the recognition pathway, part of it takes place here.
03 - PARALLELIZATION
Gaining
time
We do not simply work through the steps one after another. Nothing is skipped
. Those who do can need eighteen months or more.
04 - INTEGRATION
Sustainable support
Twelve months of support from day one. Arrival, paperwork, and life on the ward. Included in our fee, not an add-on.
Ethical recruitment
We work by the employer-pays principle. In practice: the employer bears the cost
of recruitment.
Cultural bridge
Through the personal guidance of our German-Filipino founder, we manage expectations on both sides and resolve potential misunderstandings before they even arise.
Legal compliance
Coordination in accordance with Germany’s Skilled Immigration Act and the standards of the Philippine Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).
Quality through
responsibility
No fees for nurses.
Transparent costs for employers.
In line with the WHO Global Code of Practice and
employer-pays principle.
Ethical recruitment is not a promise.
It is our standard.
